Question 1: Rip Van Winkle was a great story for a children tale because it gave you fantasy and realism in the same story. Rip was very lazy man with no cares in the world and still survived without money, i wish i could that. He always gave up his spare time to help others in less of need then him probably stupid on his part according to his wife but he didn't care. That's what i really like about him, he just enjoyed being alive and to have his dog by his side.
The thing that i didn't like about him that he didn't take care of his family like he was suppose to do. Even though he was carefree he still should have took care of his business at home like a man should do. It was really messed up is how he let his children go around looking like raggedy Ann dolls, i just don't understand why he did it cause if it was mine they would be the most well dressed in the village and my wife too.
The reason i think why the author wrote this folk tale is tell you shouldn't let hardships get you down but don't become to carefree that you can hold your own.
Question 2: The first example of being romantic is when he came back to the city and found his daughter and he ask about his wife even though he hate her nagging(the 6Th chapter), and the second is how everybody in the village loved and nobody hated him
Question 3: i really didn't get the poem

Question 4: the point in this poem is to show how to use your imagination and picture your in one of the seen. The image that most appeals to me is the boy flying his kite in the summer it reminds me of how used to go to grandparents house in SC and fly kites with my grandpa. Its a good example of Romanticism cause it take you to your own little paradise.
